What I think you're after is "How does a person use their own wind power?"

There are many ways, but the easiest is to have some isolated circuits you run off a battery charged by your turbine. I want to power all of my garden lights & fountains with my own turbine. Currently I light my garden & ponds with solar, but I haven't enough power to circulate my ponds.

The other way is to have your turbine tied to your grid and your meter can go backward when you produce surplus and forward when you need more. Check with your local power company to find out what safety equipment they might require to do it. Good Luck & deep breaths!

I think he means how to build a windmill to get electricity lol. Anyways I'm answering because I did this recently and it was a lot easier than you'd probably think. I got the designs online from http://www.ebooksreviewed.info/earth4ene...  and I'm not particularly handy either so the ease factor says a lot.

The only wind energy U can store is DC ... That requires large batteries. Most home equipment can not run on DC...

I'm currently building one where I live there are a lot of Tibetan monks so the one I have built is a prayer wheel it is a cylinder with prayer flags going down the sides I went and bought some prayer flags and fiber glass rods put the rods through an old plastic garbage can placed the flags in a manner that causes parasitic drag with two of these cans on a bearing system the same as a lazy susan type plates then I bought a solar power kit where I put the cells in front of the two upright cylinders so that it diverts the wind into the middle of the flags and causes the cylinders to turn opposite of one another I then put magnets and wire brushes to generate power at the bottom of the bearing system and it then generates power to the battery bank I built the prototype I built which is smaller than the current one generated 24 volts which if the wind would have been faster it would have generated more but that was enough to charge the battery and produce power then my solar inverter was able to power my home so all you have to do is get Tye battery7 charged to the inverter and then wire it to what ever you are trying to power the big wind gene rater works real well and only cost me 200 dollars and when the sun isn't powering my home the wind is combining solar and wind works well your cost is mainly the material the solar cells and inverter is the most expensive but shop around and you can get good deals
