How do I make sure with a contract that me and my business partners LLC is exactly 50% ownership? Is there a contact I can print out? I know when we file the LLC you put partners etc. Is there any other paperwork after fililng articles of organization? I just want to make sure we are covered before diving in headfirst. Ideally I would like a contact on top of the filing to make sure its split down the middle. Do I need it notarized?

  1. Your article of association (or whatever registration document) should bear the % of ownership.  That's the ownership upon registration...

If at the course of the business, there was a change in that %, it should be acknowledged by both partners.  Without that whatever changes will not be binding and hence not enforceable.
