How to make an air conditioner with a tower fan?

I've seen videos on how to make a homemade air-conditioner. They all use the circular fans though, so can anyone please help me?

  1. I think what you saw was a cooler, not an AC, with a fan blowing air over ice.

    ACs have gotten very cheap, less than $100, buy one.
