Question:

How to make an appointment with the El Salvador Consulate?

When I visit E.S. I would like to speak to someone at the Embassy concerning my husband's case. The consulate's website doesn't provide business hours or how to make an appointment. Is anyone from E.S. aware of specific days set aside for different phases of the immigration process? I''ll be there for a little more than a week and I don't want to waste time waiting on a walk-in basis. Please, only those with experience,or at least residents of E.S. answer.

  1. This is what I would recommend.  First go to the following website and find the El Salvador consular office nearest you.  Contact them for direct information, they may even be able to provide you with direct assistance.

But they will also help you to make an appointment in their main office in El Salvador.  If they cannot help you, then seek your information from the Embassy offices in Washington DC

  2. Try to contact the El Salvador embassy or one of it's consulate offices nearest you and make an appointment here in the US.  They are always in contact with the offices in El Salvador and will facilitate an appointment for you in case you need to do some paperwork there.  Oftentimes, you can start the paperwork in the US.

I don't know where you are located, but the embassy is in DC.  There are consulate offices in LA (first link below) and San Francisco (info below).  You can also click http://www.elsalvadorla.org/consulados/c... for consulate listings throughout the US.

At the very least, call them and see what advise they can provide for you.

    Best of luck.
