How to make an uphosltered headboard...?

I am a fifteen year old girl re-doing her room....i told my parents i could handle doing everything myself....so i want to make an uphosltered headboard for cheap... Any idea's?

Go to hgtv.com, and search for "upholstered headboard"  Cost will be for the piece of wood, the fabric padding (or foam) and the amount of fabric needed.

You can save some money and time by buying a used headboard, that is reasonably flat, and stapling everything to it.

well take a piece of composite board, whatever size you need, then get regular stuffing, like what you would use to stuff a teddy bear,then staple that on, however thick you want it, get the cloth you want, hot glue it on the back, and if you want buttons, get craft buttons and glue them on . hope this helps!! :p
