How to make black icing??

im about to make a bumble bee cake... how do i make black icing??? i have blue, green, yellow and red food colouring..

Start with chocolate frosting!  You'll have a much tastier black.  

My food coloring box says how to mix to make black.  I would check your box and see if it has a recipe for mixing black.

McCormick Spice Co. just put out a BLACK liquid food coloring.  I found it on the shelf at a Super Walmart......Prior to that I used the Wilton Black gel color....but you needed nearly the entire jar to really get it black. Do be careful tho, the black really stains....tongues and clothing....if it's for children.....

if you are using white icing

o Make Black: Mix 3 parts red, 3 parts blue, and 2 parts green.

so maybe in a bowl mix 3 drops red, 3 dops blue and 2 green.

then add it one teasopoon at a time to the icing.

or

2 red

2 blue

1 green

Start with chocolate icing, add black food coloring.  If you have a Michael's Craft store or any other cake decorating place near you, they'll have black food coloring.  If you only need a little, grocery stores sell black pre-made icing.   Other than that, add blue and green until your chocolate turns black.

They sell black coloring. You won't get the deep, dark black from mixing colors, no matter what they tell you.
