  1. Take the bread and roll it onto balls big enough to cover your hook.  Make sure there is enough bread that it wont break off when you cast it in the water.  just go buy a bag of bread, tear the crust off, and start rolling.  Generally one piece of bread will cover a good size hook.

  2. Something that has always worked for me and is also very cheap is Pillsbury Homestyle Grands! Buttermilk Biscuit dough.

It only cost about $4 or so for the roll and you can put half in a ziplock bag to save for another time.

I have never failed to catch a carp whenever I've used this dough.

  3. we would take bread & cornstarch and the water from a can of corn and mix it making balls large enough to cover your hook. Worked very well for us...

They do make special treble hooks that are made for dough baits like bread - they have a few coiled wires that help hold the bait on the hook.

  4. Simple: Eat a breakfast and throw up into a jar. add bread and corstarch. Mix and roll into balls.

  5. Make you some biscuit doe or buy some ready made biscuits...form into balls...then wet them a little and roll them in Corn Flakes...this will work for Carp as well as Catfish, but with Catfish you might want to add some blood...my Daddy taught me this...hope this helps...
