How to make coffee without a coffee maker

I have samples of coffee that i got but the only problem is i dont have a coffee maker and i was wondering how i could make coffee without a coffee maker. There must be some way people brewed coffee before coffee makers. I usually just drink instant coffee so i never needed a coffee maker.

I have some Star Bucks ground coffee given to me as a gift and I didn't own a coffee maker.  I decided to brew a couple of cups without a machine...turned out great...lovin' it...!  I boiled 2 cups water in pan and added 2 1/2 Tblsp.coffee to pan ...left lid on to brew for 5 min.,  then I put mesh strainer lined with paper towel over large coffee mug and emptied pan of coffee in the strainer over the mug....I threw away the paper towel with coffee grounds in it and I'm enjoying this large mug of coffee!

Boil water in pot, depending on how much coffee you want. Next get a thick washcloth and measure about a tablespoon of your favorite coffee, enough to your taste, secure the coffee in the washcloth with rubber band.Remove pot from heat and lower the coffee filled washcloth into the water.Cover and let brew for about 15 Min's. I guarantee you, you'll have the best coffee you will ever have, without using a coffee maker!
