  1. boil in water with a cup of milk and a table spoon of sugar. boil until tender ,melt a stick of butter pour it over the corn

  2. um melt butter and soak corn on the cob in it ???

  3. i've tried this recipe and it's really good.

  4. Shuck corn.  Boil a large pan of water, leaving room to add corn.  Add a tablespoon or two of regular sugar to the water.  Boil corn for 3-5 minutes.  It's more crunchy, if you boil it less.  Don't put any salt in the water, it can make the corn tough.

Melt butter in microwave, or use room temperature butter.  The hot corn will melt it.  Smear butter on corn, add a little salt and pepper.  Enjoy.

  5. When you add milk to the liquid in which you cook corn on the cob, it keeps the kernels from becoming bitter.

SERVES 12 (change servings and units)

    Ingredients

    1 gallon water

    1 quart milk

    4 tablespoons butter

    2 tablespoons sugar

    1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

12 ears fresh corn, shucked and silk removed

butter or olive oil or soy sauce or maple syrup, for serving (optional)

    Directions

Place the water, milk, butter, sugar, salt, and red pepper flakes in a large, heavy pot and bring to a rolling boil over high heat.

Add the corn, reduce the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook until tender, about 5 to 8 minutes.

Remove the pot from the heat and let stand until needed.

Drain and serve hot, either plain or with the condiments of your choosing, such as oil, butter or maple syrup.

    Hope this helps :0)
