How to make display cakes used for promotions and marketing?

We need to create several display cakes to be used for promoting and marketing our business at wedding expos, conventions, benefits, etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with TxPudding, but wanted to add if you are going to be using it over and over stay away from purple frosting on it! It will fade on you over time and leave you with a grey cake!

Display cakes can be made easily with styrafoam and fondant and icing. Lots of bakeries make these to use also for displays. Maybe you can get a bakery to do them for you?

Someone with cakle decorating skills will still need to decorate them.
