  1. what kind of soap do you use? Do you have acne or just oil? It doesn't seem like it would be good for your skin to wash so often, you're stripping away natural oils. Maybe try changing soap, don't use anything with moisturizers..and then try using one of those astringents or toners in between to get off excess oil. And it might sound odd, but make sure you wash your pillowcase often and your clothes, esp shirts that might rub against your face.

  2. a common misconception is that the more you wash your face, the better. but that's not true! it is good to wash your face once or twice a day, but more can actually make your face worse. try washing twice a day for a few days, and hopefully your face will be less oily. if not, see a dermatologist.

  3. Tip 1: You shouldn't over wash your face.

Tip 2: [this tip is from Seventeen Magazine]

    REMOVE SHINE

    How-To:

If your face starts to look greasy, sop up excess oil with blotting papers. Press one against an area of your skin only once (don't rub), and repeat on other oily areas of your face. This technique won't smear your makeup!

    $5, drugstores.

Tip 3: FINDING YOUR PERFECT FOUNDATION:

You Have: oily t-zone. You Want: to minimize shine. Keywords To Look For: mattifying

You Have: dry spots You Want: to get a dewy glow Keywords To Look For: luminizing

You Have: bad acne You Want: to keep pores clear Keywords To Look For: noncomedogenic

You Have: red skin You Want: to soothe irritation Keywords To Look For: mineral-based

  4. First of all i used to hate my oily skin especially as a teenager. its has its benefits though, for one thing its a fact that you will not get wrinkles as soon as those with dry/normal skin. It wasnt till i started to work as a skin care specialist that i realized what i was doing wrong. Anyways what helped me regulate it to the point where i don't have a problem with oily skin or breakouts anymore is:

    1. washing it in the morning when i wake up and at night before bed with an oil free cleanser.  Washing it too much will strip it of its natural defenses and will cause your skin to produce more oil!!!!

    2. use a gentle exfoliator once or twice a week-stay AWAY from apricot scrub-

    3. wear sunblock everyday, even when your indoors but specifically use a face sunblock; unlike all over the body sunblocks these are usually not as heavy and oil free.

    4. of course find a good face wash that does not dry out your skin, and lastly moisturize!!!! If you're giving your face the moisture that it needs and keeping it hydrated it will not need to produce an excess of oils on the surface.  When finding the right moisturizer use something that is a lotion not a cream, and start off using it at night then gradually once in the morning and once and night and follow it with sunblock. i promise you, you will see a noticeable difference in about a month (our skin cycle is every 28 days).

    hope this helps =)

  5. It depends on what kind of face wash are you using? Are you using face wash at all? If you don't you should because it really helps, and pick out the right one for your skin type, it could also be the wrong face wash and its not right for your skin, do you use moisturizer? there are some available for skin types and can tone it down on the oil, and it can also vary on your food intakes, and what your eating can affect your skin too.. and don't touch your face it makes it worse.. and you blotting oil skin paper.

  6. i used proactive solutions for a bit...i really didn't like anything in the kit but the mask...lol..i think it works better thought if you leave it on over night...but really the best thing ive used and still using is...monistat 7 (old school method 7 day box) and ambe soap (face wash) for my acne...trust me...you'll see unbelievable results the next morning...btw you can get all that at walmart...the soap...look in the black section...lol..and both these...use em for how ever long you need too...

    day

    1. wash ur face with ambe soap

    2.apply monosate 7...dab on forehead...cheeks...chin..rub in...do not wash...

    night

    1. repeat step 1 and 2 (of above)..just put it on a little heaver than you would in the day

    2. sleep in it

    3. repeat

ps...if you want to use the proactive mask...do it only once a wee...its hella harch on ur skin to use more than that...

pps...you can also use Monostat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel as a makeup primer (foundation base)!!!
