  1. Take the can of Canola oil and fill the deep fryer to half full. Plug the deep fryer in to the power source. Let the kettle heat to proper temperature then put the french fries in and cook for about 5 minutes. Remove the food and allow it to drain. Sprinkle the french fries with seasoned salt. Unplug the deep fryer, allow to cool, put the lid on securely, store in cabinet til ready to try it again.

  2. Any oil can be french fry oil.

  3. Melt Crisco in a skillet. Just enough to cover the bottom of the pan and toss your fries in. Just keep an eye on them so they don't burn.. BEEN there and done that

    Good luck

  4. the first person to answer is correct, but you want to be careful if you aren't used to cooking. You don't want a grease fire. Make sure water doesn't get into the grease it could boil over. It's also very hot and could pop onto your skin and burn you. Just be careful. If you are a kid you may want to get an adult to supervise.

  5. the best oil is lard. oil just can't get it crispy enough if you aren't a seasoned cook. 375 degrees.
