How to make friends in college for your first day?

well many people have been posting about first days of college and what not, so why not ask how to make friends in college. Well you see not to much of my friends are attending the college Im going to, so Im pretty much back to square 1 on making friends and boy let me tell you this, I still don't know how I made friends during the 18 yrs of my life, it just kinda happened lol. Well anyways it would be nice to share any experiences or tips on how to make new friends and how to approach and talk and all kind stuffs, Im not shy to talk to someone but I just don't know what to say lol.

well, honestly i dont think u shld aim to get friends on the first day. there's a saying that goes like it takes ... to build a friendship and a day to end one or something right?

after a week or so, when u knw the people in college well, u shld knw which people you take to your fancy. mixing with people who share similar interest with you would be fine.

Join a club or sign up for classes where you'll meet people who have similar interests in common with your own.

Examples:

If you like exercise and/or anime, then try martial arts.

If you like video games, try something with computer programing.

If you like to just think and talk about the world around you, try philosophy or religious studies.
