How to make friends with upperclassmen?

im going to be a freshmen...

i know, i know...freshmen suck right?

but luckily, im pretty mature for my age.

i dont think im "all that" and im pretty much really friendly to anyone who talks to me.

i just kinda go with the flow of things, and have fun doing it!

my question is, how do i make friends with the upperclassmen (because they will most likely be in my classes, im in honors) ?

i think it might be hard to break their impression of immature freshmen...whats your advice?

Do sports. That is a good time to meat people older than you and prove you aren't ignorant.

I think you can make friends with upperclassmen in your honors courses by being laid back and going with the flow, as you say you do anyway. When I was a junior or senior in an honors class with some freshmen, their questions and responses to the course material is what impressed me and made me admire them.

Your intellect and willingness to ask good questions will level the playing field and give you common ground with the older class members. Just relax and don't try too hard or laugh at every little thing and you'll do fine!! : )

i was a freshman last year. and i found that doing sports really helped me get friends. if your not sporty then just be outgoing and bubbly.
