1st before you decide to do anything like this you must contact the ATF in the USA for a small production permit. then you need a feed stock like corn, sugar, then you put brewers  yeast in a container let it sit for a couple of day then distill (that where the permit comes in) the Boiling point is a little higher then water condsener the stream then you have to denature it put methanol in the mixture if using on your car see what mixture it can take mix with gasoline there you go.

P.S. the permit is very easy to get

Bye a still or make one plenty designs on the net. With a proper still you will be able to produce ethanol alcohol and methanol. It all depends on the temperature at which the liquid condensates as to weather you get eth, alc or meth.

Heat rotted wood without burning it, look up details on google. Will not power a car though, ethanol has insufficient power in combustion.

Note:you can mix it with petrol to be more environmentally conscious, max of 10% ethanol though.
