I actually just referred someone else to this site as there are a bunch of good home made Trout bait recipes here.

I like to mix up some Velveeta cheese with some bread crumbs or Ritz crackers, it seems to work really well for Trout...........................

Actually The Shop, i didn`t find much on your web site.although the recipe you gave would work for a snack if the fish were not biting. minature marsh mellows are good for desert.. but if you wan`t to make a bait there are 2 ways.

(1) A Sticky bait : take Vaseline petroleum jelly add whatever scent you want. Example- fish oil the kind in omega three capsules

(2) a dipping oil bait take mineral oil add whatever scent you want example- garlic or anaise.

A short fishing tale: When I was a young 'un I went to a Trout pond to fish. First time. I used Velveeta. I snagged the trout by the tail, it almost dragged me in. Someone finally cut the line.
