I just rec'd a bunch of concord grapes from my daughter and was considering making homemade concord wine. There are so many recipes on the internet, I'm not sure which one to use ? Any suggestions ?

  1. Pick any recipe and try it. Chances are good that you will get something drinkable, even if it is Concord wine.

Racking is moving the wine (usually by siphoning) from one container to another. This leaves behind most of the lees (sludge that has settled out of the wine) and gives you a better-tasting product.

  2. juice the wine, add some sugar and yeast, and put in a container with an airlock....

wait a few weeks to a few months until the airlock stops bubbling, then bottle

racking is basically storing the wine away in its container after its done fermenting for and extended period.
