Hi there, I live in a house with my parents in a house, and we have one landline and two phone handsets, we connected both phones two one socket, because the socket nearby my bedroom won't work. Is it possible to make internal calls with that? for example can my parents dial 1 and the phone rings in my bedroom? remember my phone is not connected to the socket nearby my bedroom, it is connected to the socket in the lounge using a multi-socket plug attached to the lounge socket itself.

  1. dial your own number, wait for a few seconds or listen to the msg if you get one, hang up and all phones in house will start ringing, when it stops ringing the other party in the house has answered then you answer your phone and you will be on the line together.

  2. No matter which jack you're plugged into, it is still the same line. Many service providers offer home intercom, so you can call between phones on the same line.
