How to make it blow?

Hello, I own a Kirby G4 and have unfortunately lost the manual. How do you get the hoover to blow/inflate. I have the tool kit, but I hear you have to flick a switch and fiddle with bits and bobs. Also, if anyone can upload the manual, would be fantastic. Cheers.
