How to make meat lasagna?

I need a recipe for meat lasagna. However, I only have the noodles, powdered parmesian cheese, ggcottage cheese, 2 different types of sauces, and the ground beef. I have seasonings, but I want to know if I can make it without mozzarella cheese, because I see a lot of these recipes call for it. I bought chicken Vienna sausages, could I use those in it. I saw recipes that called for Italian sausages though.

  1. Well I don't know how much I can help you, but this is the general recipe:

    INGREDIENTS

    680 g ground beef

    3 g garlic powder

1 (28 ounce) jar sausage flavored spaghetti sauce

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

    2 g dried oregano

    15 ml olive oil

    4 cloves garlic, minced

    1 small onion, diced

    224 g mozzarella cheese, shredded

    225 g provolone cheese, shredded

    426 g ricotta cheese

    2 eggs

    60 ml milk

    0.8 g dried oregano

    9 lasagna noodles

    25 g grated Parmesan cheese

    DIRECTIONS

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a skillet over medium heat season ground beef with garlic powder and oregano. Brown the meat and drain.

In a large sauce pan add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, and oregano; set aside. In a skillet heat olive oil. Saute garlic and onions for about 5 minutes. Mix sauteed onions and garlic with meat into the sauce and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

Combine mozzarella and provolone cheeses in a medium bowl. In a medium bowl mix ricotta cheese, eggs, milk, and oregano.

Layer a 9x13 inch baking pan with just enough sauce to cover the bottom of the pan. Lay three lasagna noodles in the pan. Cover with sauce, then with ricotta mixture then sprinkle with mozzarella/provolone mixture; repeat layering. Finish with a layer of noodles and remaining sauce. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Bake covered in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for 15 minutes.

    Good luck!

  2. You do not need to make it with mozzarella and the sausage you have should be fine too.  Here's what I would do given your ingredients on hand.

Cook the lasagne noodles according to the package or just let them soak in hot water for about 20-30 minutes to soften.

Saute the sausages in a little olive oil and garlic, and onion if you have any on hand.  Add the sauces to the meat mixture.  Set aside to cool.

Mix up the cottage cheese and the parmesan cheese with a couple of eggs, season with salt and pepper.  If you have some fresh parsley and basil throw that in as well (and you can add that to the meat sauce too).  Save some of the powdered parmesan for the top of the lasagne.

To assemble, layer a spoonful of the meat mixture on the bottom of the pan.  Add a layer of noodles.  From the remaining meat sauce mixture, layer 1/3 of the meat sauce, then add 1/3 of the cheese mixture.  Add another layer of noodles, layer another 1/3 of the meat sauce and 1/3 of the noodles.  Add a final layer of noodles and the rest of the meat mixture and the rest of the cheese mixture.  Sprinkle with some of the parmesan.

Finally, cut up a couple of tablespoons of butter and dot the top of the lasagne.  Cover with foil and bake in 375 oven for about 30 minutes.  take off foil and cook for another 10-15 minutes or until cheese is bubbling.

I'll bet it will be quite good!

  3. MEAT LASAGNA

4 (15 oz.) cans peeled Italian tomatoes

3-4 lbs. ground beef (veal if available)

    2 lbs. Ricotta cheese

    1 lb. grated Mozzarella cheese

    5-6 lg. cloves garlic, sliced

    1 tbsp. dry basil

    1 tsp. dry oregano

    1 med. onion, diced

    3 oz. olive oil

    Salt, pepper, sugar

    Lasagna sheets

Empty tomatoes and juices into saucepan and crush tomatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer. Add basil, oregano, 3 tablespoons salt, 1 1/2 tablespoons pepper, and 2 tablespoons sugar. Cook 1/2 hour. Heat oil and brown the garlic. Add oil and garlic to sauce. Cook 15 more minutes and set aside for later.

In saute pan brown the meat and drain grease. Add onion and salt and pepper; cook for a few minutes. Add 3-4 ounces of tomato sauce and about 3/4 pound of Ricotta cheese; mix well until creamy. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently

  4. Of course you can do it without mozzarella cheese. If you want to use the sausages, just do it. There's no original lasagna recipe even in Italy - it is different from town to town. To make sure the layers are moist enough, have some of the sauce in between them. Than you don't need the mozzarella cheese.

  5. Go to allrecipes.com you can search by ingredients you do and do not like - it's a great site!

And now you made me hungry!!!

  6. go to the store and buy the lasanga noodles, the recepie is on the box. it takes ground meat, riccatta cheese, mozz cheese, spaghetti sauce, and a little spices. Good Luck!!

  7. Make it your own creation, meat lasagna is the best, but if you can personalize it, it becomes "yours."  I wouldn't mind sampling it when you are done, by the way.

  8. Easy Meat Lasagna

    1/2 pound lean ground beef

1/2 pound Italian sausage, casing removed

2  jars (26 ounces each)  spaghetti sauce, divided

    2 eggs

2  containers (15 ounces each)  ricotta cheese

1 package  (8 ounces)  shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

    1 tablespoon McCormick® Garlic & Italian Herb

    1 teaspoon McCormick® Parsley Flakes

    1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Black Pepper

    9 lasagna noodles, uncooked

    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    1.  Preheat oven to 350°F.  Brown ground beef and sausage in large skillet on medium heat; stirring occasionally.  Drain fat.  Stir 4 cups spaghetti sauce into meat mixture.  Reserve remaining spaghetti sauce for serving.

    2.  Beat eggs in large bowl.  Add ricotta cheese, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, Garlic Blend, parsley, salt and pepper; mix well.

    3.  Spread about 1 cup of the meat sauce onto the bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish; top with 3 noodles.  Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles.  Repeat meat sauce, noodles and cheese layer once.  Top with remaining noodles and meat sauce, making sure to cover noodles with sauce.  Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.  Cover with foil.

    4.  Bake 45 minutes.  Remove foil.  Bake additional 15 minutes or until noodles are tender.  Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.  Serve with reserved spaghetti sauce.

  9. Ingredients and utensils oh and don't forget a stove

  10. Oh i know!!  Here's what I usually do..

Saute  some garlic and onions in a pan and add the ground meat.

Fully cook while adding italian seasoning, garlic salt, pepper, oregano, and then add the tomato sauce, can be marinara or whatever!

You put some of this sauce on the bottom of the pan, and and than layer the meat sauce with the cheese.  I even use slices of hard boil eggs in mine! i think you got the right recipies..so just stack accordingly.  After, just put in the oven at 350 for half an hour.

  11. Follow these directions.

    How to make Lasagna.

    Get out of bed.

Go to bed, bath, and beyond and buy a apron.

    ( Make sure it's a cute one.)

Get all your ingrediants from different stores. That's the best way.

Go across town, wake your mother and ask her for money.

Go get your step-sister and ask her for help.

Oh wait, she lives in Canada. Go and get her anyway.

    Finally go home.

Throw all your ingrediants into the pan. Don't worry about how it looks.

It's supposed to look like a mess.

Put it in the oven for 20 minutes at 600 degrees.

If you like it a little crispy put it at 1000 degrees for 25 minutes.

Take it your lasagna out and feed it to your dog.

Wait, if you don't have a dog go buy one but get it from Russia.

When you get home your dog sadly dies because of travel sickness.

    Throw your lasagna out.

    Have fun.

    Good Luck.
