I suggest you look into direct selling.  Plenty of industries you can go into and be an I.R. and be able sale.  Some industries you will need to purchase the products you want to sale first, while others you don't.  From what I've seen, I think the best industry to look into is in the telecommunications industry.  You can Directly sale Cellular phones and services, not have to buy them but would have a web site, catalogues per say etc through all the major cellular phone providers like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, Nextel T-Mobile etc.  The companies give you a percentage of everyone's billing payments each month. Upgrade and extend contracts, put people on new contracts. You can also sell Satellite TV services, Internet services, land line, digital and video phone services and phones.  A lot of different things you can do in telecommunications.

According to your detail message you want something simple that you can sell in your front yard or your home.  You can have a home based business doing this and sale it pretty much anywhere.  People are always purchasing cellular phones or some sort of telecommunications.
