How to make my hair DARKER?

I want my hair to be darker. It's like dark brown now but in the sun it glows blond and it's been making me so mad. I don't want to die it because i'm growing it out anyway i just want something that will get rid of the yellow glow that i can do often. I heard tea works, is that true?

  1. I know you said you don't want to dye it, but hear me out. You can use a level one dye that washes out in 3-6 shampoos. They are nice, smell good and really aren't too bad for your hair. Some of them come in a mousse form. Sally's beauty supply has a good selection.   Just a thought!

  2. you can try a non-permanent hair dye, also known as a "rinse".

it contains no ammonia or peroxide or any of that stuff.

what it does is it stains your hair shaft so that the color can stay, but it washes out after a week or so, but fortunately, unlike permanent hair dye, you can use any leftover mixture for a later use.

you can purchase a rinse at any beauty supply store.

  3. Why don't you want to dye it? Is it because it washes out really easily?

  4. ya tea works..

  7. ummm dye it?

  8. I suggest Tressa watercolors Mocha Drench shampoo. It is for brown hair. The longer you leave it in the more intense it will be. The more often you use it the more coverage you have. Do not get this on rugs, counters or anything absorbent the color is intense.

  9. Tea does definatly work...only if you actually physically put the tea in your hair though.

I'm not even kidding, but try kool - aid.   I know people who dye their hair with that.

Other then that, genetics will do you good.

  10. Tea and black coffee will get rid of highlights caused by the sun (my hair is naturally very dark brown, almost black but because it has red undertones if I am out in the sun often enough, it will start to turn red a dark red on me) but anyways you can try using rosemary and sage as well. Apparently, half a cup of fresh rosemary with half a cup of fresh sage and steep in a cup of boiling water for about 15 minutes. Strain and apply the liquid to towel dried hair for 15 – 20 minutes and rinse will make hair darker.

But I personally do not know if it is effective, Ive just heard rumors. :)

  11. I would definitely google that just to make sure... do not take any chances... My hair has natural blond highlights and my skin color is much like my avatar. I really just google it.
