  1. Turn them around, POINT them at the corner of the Walls, and turn it up some more....

The dispersal pattern will literally BOSE-ify®  your Klipsch speakers....

Looks like c**p, but it does Improve the sound overall....try it....

  2. I am not a huge fan of 'tweeks' like vibrapods or green marking pens or special speaker wires with 'secret' windings to align the sounds.

These 'ad ons' are usually just scams

But there are some well accepted things you can do:

    - Pull the speakers into the room. The back and sides of a speaker often radiate sound and giving enough distance to the rear wall can add a 'open ness' to the sound.

    - Use a laser pointer to see where the speakers are pointing.  Angle the speakers to one of 3 amounts of toe-in:

A: so the sound intersects 2 ft in front of the main chair

B: so the sound intersects at the main chain

C: so the sound intersects 2 ft behind the main chair

Option A is a traditional music alignment - but the throw pattern of different speakers and your seating distance has an effect. You just have to play with all 3 and pick what one sounds best to you.

    Early Reflections:

Wall reflections often mess up the sound. Sit in the main seat and have a friend slide a mirror along the side walls. When you can see the tweeter of the speakers - mark this spot with a post-it note or masking tape.

When you have done both sides of the room, tack up an old blanket, folded towel, etc to these spots and then sit and listen.

If the music is better with the cloth in place - then you need to buy or build some sound absorbers or diffusers.  There are plans for these on the internet.  You can buy materials from speaker building sites like www.partsexpress.com and others.

But dont get crazy - there are lots of $800 junk-science gimmicks out there that all guarantee to improve the sound of your $500 speakers.  They will all be glad to take your money.

  3. Speakers only output what they're fed.  What are your source components?  That will greatly influence sound, more than any other factor

If you can't upgrade components, be certain that your speakers rest on heavy, rigid stands.  A tap with a finger towards the front and rear of the speaker should not move them or should show resistance.  Experiment with placement, up/down, left / right.
