How to make my pictures look professional?

I see all these pretty scene girls and their pictures always look so professional, even though they take them themselves. Can anybody help me? Is there a trick to it or something? And what makes for a good picture? I'm not too photogenic, so I need all the help I can get.

use a backdrop. hang a sheet on the wall and take your picture in front of it. it looks very professional.

I would use a light backdrop because of your dark hair and then you should use a software that has brightness and contrast and then I would play with that. You could even go black and white and that would be classic. You can never go wrong with black and white. Hope this helps.

you just gotta enhance it by toning up the contrast and lighting and use different tricks on a normal everyday picture editor. in a matter of seconds it could look more professional.

Hi Kin

Photograph the other side of your face. I think that it would make a better shot and get ride of the fridge.

Put up a whilte cloth or whatever so that if you need a background, it is easy to cut off with Photoshop.
