  1. First thing you could try would be CLR, it gets rid of all the soap scum in the shower head making it run properly again, second thing would be to replace the shower head with one that uses air with the water to use less water and to pressurize your shower. If that dosen't work it is the water pressure in your house that is the problem, in which case you will need to contact a plumber. Good Luck

  2. along with a clogged head (which everyone else has talked about) there is also a washer behind the shower head apptly named a restrictor washer that limits most shower heads to only so many gallons per minute.  You could chelck for this washer and if you have one just make the hole a little larger.  Not too much as you can overdo it but just a tad bigger will improve shower strength a great deal.

  3. Leave it to a plumber.  Do you rent?  If so, consult with your property manager.

  4. understanding pressure and volume is first.

volume is a lot of water moving slow and pressure will be like

when you hold your finger over a water hose and it sprays far.

you might have a lot of pressure behind the shower head, take it off.

you could clean it or change it, shower heads are cheap.

    for cleaning

*First try vinegar, or C.L.R  (soak the shower head overnight)

I got this from rotorooter web site.

do you loose pressure when someone flushes or uses water?

    if you do

you still have bad pressure then you will need to make sure all faucets in your home have water savers on them and take the water saver out of your shower head,(unscrew the head and take out the screen thing inside,  ( that is the water saver) remove it but keep the black washer in it, and place it back on.

    extra tips

install water savers on laundry tubs, water hoses and toilets

so when someone uses these, your shower experiance will be better!

    another tip

let everyone know your taking a shower

    tip

as long as pressure is good everywhere else.

then you can have a plumber blow air pressure into

the pipe to loosen up any rust stuck in the faucet

I done mine and it works fine.

    tip

if you have galvenized pipes in your home

this is probly the source of rust.

  5. You can soak shower head in CLR over nite to remove any calcium deposits. If that doesn't work remove shower head and take apart some heads have a removeable piece that can give you more pressure. If not you can always buy a new head with the removeable piece. They started these low pressure heads to conserve water.

  6. if you have hard water in you house (the alternative to soft water), the calcium in it encrusts onto your shower head as you shower. the longer you keep from cleaning it off, the more incased it gets. you could put some ajax on it to try to soften it up, and then scrub it off, or if you think you need something stronger, use Bam. that gets rid of it for sure..and if that doesn't work, then i would suggest to you to buy a new shower head. i have one of those where the spiggots are plastic. this makes it easier to clean, but the pressure is fantastic still. you can practically just wipe it off in the middle of your shower!

    hope this helped!
