  1. use real butter and don't burn??

  2. use brown sugar in place of regular white sugar.

  3. to me the secret it to time them perfectly

    BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

    2 1/4 cups flour

    1 tsp. baking soda

    1 cup butter

    1/4 sugar

    3/4 cup brown sugar

    1 tsp. vanilla

1 box instant vanilla pudding or 2 small boxes

    2 eggs

    1 pkg. of choc. chip

    1 cup nuts, chopped (optional)

This is important - mix all wet ingredients together first with an electric mixer.

Then slowly add in the flour mixture consisting of flour, soda, and pudding while you continue to mix. Add chocolate chips and nuts at the end.

Drop on a cookie sheet and bake 8-10 min. at 375°F.

Let cool in pan for 5 minutes then transfer to cooling rack for another 10 minutes.

    Enjoy!

  4. I have a couple of ways to make really good moist, soft cookies:

Add in a little extra vegetable oil or an extra egg. Or, you can try this, but it's a little more difficult.

Say the recipe calls for you to bake for 12 minutes. Instead, bake for 9 minutes (or 75-80 percent of the time that it says to bake, so if the recipe calls for 15 minutes, then bake for 11.5, if for 20, then for 15, etc), and then place the cookies on a sheet of wax paper on a rack in your freezer. Leave them in there for a good 45 minutes to an hour. Take them out to defrost, and once they're room temperature, they'll be incredibly soft and moist!

Some ways to add to the flavor would be:

    Salt-

Humans crave salt. You don't want to add so much salt that the cookies will taste salty, but adding a couple dashes is never too much.

    Margarine-

Use a stick of margarine instead of butter. I don't know why, but people on the whole that I've made cookies for tend to prefer cookies made with margarine over butter. This could also add to the soft and moist factor!

A teaspoon of cream of tartar or cumin-

This is something else that we as humans crave. It won't really add much flavor to your cookies, but it gives them the extra oomf! to make people want to have another one!

    Good Luck!

  5. I usually turn the temp on the oven down approx. 25 degrees and take them out before they look done as they will continue to cook on the hot pan outside of the oven.

  6. If you want them to be thin and crispy, add extra butter.

If you want them to be thick and chewy, add a little extra flour and an extra egg and cut the baking time a little.

If you want them to be super chocolatey and rich, use cream instead of milk and add extra chocolate chips.

  7. I add a instant vanilla pudding (just the powder, don't mix it up) to the recipe on the bag.

  8. Don't cook them for too long.

Halfway through baking the cookies, flip the cookie tray over, so the other side gets a chance to cook more.

    Use a good recipe.

    Oh, and use real butter.

Experiment with different flavours. It's okay to add extra ingredients, as long as it doesn't look too overloaded. Some ingredients I've added:

    Pecans

    Walnuts

    white chocolate

    butterscotch chips

    dried fruit(raisins, dried cherries)

    Oatmeal

But if you are experimenting, don't change the amount of flour, baking soda, sugar, since baking is a sort of science, and if you change too much of the base part of the recipe, it won't turn out.

  9. check on them alot and uhm...thats pretty much it and dont burn them.
