How to make rusty safety pin, bells, etc.?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the quickest and most effective way to make rusty bells and safety pins. I am using them for crafts and need them fairly quickly. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

A soak in bleach overnight will probably do it.  

I accidentally rusted the chrome in my bathroom sink while soaking a t-shirt overnight.  Was trying to get stains out of the shirt, now I have a big ol' rust spot where the shirt touched the drain.

I found a couple of sites that recommend bleach and vinegar mixes and give full instructions.
