I want to make sausage pizza for dinner, but I'm not sure what kind of sausage to use. I want the sausage to be sliced not ground, does anyone have an tips how to do this? I was thinking if buying italian sausage in the casing, cooking it, and then slicing it but once again, I'm just not sure how this will turn out. Any suggestions?

  1. You can buy any sausage would work. I use Italian sausage. I fry it up whole and cut up in slices or take out of casing and crumble it up and then add to top of pizza.Either way will be ok. The sausage has to be cooked before adding to pizza or will take too long in oven. I like mushrooms and sausage on my pizza. MINE COMES OUT GOOD!

    YUMMY!!!

  2. I think that would turn out great.  I buy the same, cook & slice for pasta dishes.  I see no reason why it wouldn't be awesome for pizza!  :)

  3. QUICK SAUSAGE PIZZA

    2 pkg. Pillsbury crescent rolls

    1 to 1 1/2 lb. sausage (cooked)

    1 jar pizza sauce

    12 oz. Mozzarella cheese

Pat crescent rolls onto 12 x 16 inch cookie sheet. Top with pizza sauce, cooked sausage and cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until done.

hope this helped ang good luck :)

  4. It would work fine.  You could also buy bulk sausage and break off small chunks and dot the pizza.  Either works.  Whatever is easiest.
