How to make the heavies move towards the light?

As in our transport is HEAVY.

Surely we need a LIGHT weight system!

As long as they're convinced that a heavy vehicle is safer, they won't.  Ironically, it's the same reason light rail trains don't usually get to go on heavy rail tracks.  The best answer would be two separate networks (one for light vehicles and one for heavy vehicles).

It has been shown that small, light cars are more dangerous in a crash.

You may save the environment, but you will also endanger your own life.

I shall continue driving my enormous Jaguar until a safe small car is devised.

Yeah... Too much weight of cars currently is a need for safety since it keeps car on road while turning with specific speed... or is the effect of cost of materials... when lighter ones are more advanced but more expensive at the same time... But... scientists and developers exists to change it into better... Maybe one day I will hear about small and light car that will have wheels sticking to road... maybe by some magnetic technology... or we will drive in tunnels... or on tracks like in sf movies... Meanwhile... we are like in stone age... joking :)... we are just few days ahead :p... but seriously... Gravitation exists to be defeated... and let us travel space as far and fast we can... I wish you luck with such challenge...

The rest of the world should conserve fuel by any means so we Americans can have our birthrights of cheap fuel, big autos and unlimited everything. So-what if low-lying countries flood? They probably don't buy our goods anyway.
