Will this also condition the ankles and calves to become more flexible so has to make the stances in karate deeper without lifting the heels of the feet?

  1. Weight lifting helps, but its definately more of just practice.  You should be able to at least stand for one second now, that deep in the stance, its a matter of spending more and more time in it, just do your best a training to hold it, karate is all about the stances, if you dont get the stances right you dont get the A.) conditioning and B.) the right waist movenment

  2. I can do that! But I think it looks random so I don't do it.

How?? Practice squats. Practice proper kiba dachi, with back straight, feet facing forward. Then go lower and lower. It works I didn't use to be able to do this now I can =)

  3. Practice your Horse Stance! That's the best way and Breath.
