Try to do everything possible to keep them happy.Try listening to them when you think they are saying the right thing.Sometimes parents feel happy if you try and do small things for them like take them out for dinner or give them small surprises.But dont overdo.I hope you can get close to your parents.All the best.

Your parents should not rely on anyone to make them happy. Except themselves.

Realize that there are people that you may never, ever be able to please... it is their nature not to ever be satisfied or grateful.

If they don't think you are good enough, then settle for just being good by and for yourself and knowing that you are going good places.

Do the best you can to cover the bases and stay out of trouble and don't let them lay any emotional abuse on you.
