Start with 3 heaping scoops of French vanilla or vanilla bean ice cream.

Fill glass to the brim with root beer.

Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream.

Drizzled with chocolate syrup and top with a cherry.

First you need your favorite root beer and a premium ice cream, vanilla flavoured. And use a heavy, chilled mug.

Fill the mug 1/2 to 2/3 full of root beer, then add a scoop of ice cream. If you pour the root beer over of the ice cream it will foam up like crazy and end up flat quite quickly, but it is easier.

I use french vanilla ice cream instead of regular vanilla and then use A&W root beer.... I like it a lot... 2 scoops ice cream in a big glass and then pour the root beer over it so it foams... pure heaven...
