How to make two diffrent programs use two diffrent internet connection ?

i have two interent connections ,one is dial-up ,and the other is a LAN type....

i need to use the dial-up to upload using FTP ,and use the other faster connection to do other stuff at the same time and PC ,

is there a way ??

depends on what OS you are running

if you are running windows, it can't handle multiple gateways address, so your chances are zero you can do what you want to do.

if you are running some of the different unix system. I know you can with open solaris, but not too sure what others can do this.

not sure how mac os handles multiple gateway address.
