i have a DVD which contains vista set up files. I had xp in my system. And i have installed vista in my system many time from that vista DVD. When i insert the DVD in system automatically set-up starts and i can install vista. But that time i only can install vista. But i can't change the HDD partition. But during installation the setup says that "if u want make change to your hard drive restart the system and boot from this DVD”. But the system can not identify the DVD as a bootable disk during boot. But all the files required for vista installation is present on that disk as i have installed vista many time from the disk. So is there any way to make a new bootable disk from that DVD?please help.

  1. You have to go into your BIOS and set your DVD drive as the FIRST source to boot from, then your hard drive SECOND. This should enable you to boot from your DVD.
