this issue came when I am working in XP....When I double click to open any folder it began to open windows search....For an example when I double click on any drives(C: , D: , E:)...it opens windows search

normally there must be the explorer window, not search window...And After right click the folder, the drop down list comes and the first option appears there is search(normally it must be the word 'open')

This is a bad issue for me that anytime when I want to open a folder I have to right click on it,then chose 'open' from the drop down list.

I want open folders by double clicking on them.So can u tell me how to change (make the first option as 'open') and use my pc as it was a day before

And I am sure that there's no virus in my machine(scanned by KIS )

Thanks,Waiting for a best answer

  1. Open a usual folder, then choose tools from above, then the last one about the folders, then Voila there it is.

I reccommend you to use a RegCure or Regostry Easy if possible, if you cannot then there is a program named as ccleaner that cleans registry too and other c**p from windows that you want to.

    God Bless You

  2. Try a new mouse,,sounds like its dirty or broken

  3. Go to start menu, then run. Type in ' regsvr32 /i shell32.dll '

click ok and try to open your drive again.
