  1. you can disable then enable the network adapter

  2. Don't do that, it may effect your Internet connection severely.

  3. u should know to surf sites without givin out ur ip address u can use a proxy or changin ip may or may not effect ur internet.

  4. go to your network connections tab(in your control panel) click on it then right click on your local connection then click on repair and it will renew your ip address and clear your dns. i do it nearly everyday. Why? i don't know.

  5. you need to know if your ISP allows that, if you do that you could lose internet connectivity.

if you want to change it call the ISP

  6. At the command prompt, type:

    c:/> ipconfig /renew

    and wait for a while.

That's all you need to do.

  7. just press "enter" on your keyboard.

but there is a simpler way to do it (assuming your ISP is using dynamic IP). either turn off your router and wait for 2 minutes. you should have a new IP assigned when you power it on again or alternatively, go to your router setup page using your browser. click on the "disconnect" button. wait a couple of minutes. click "reconnect" and you have your new IP.

ipconfig /renew only refresh your LAN ip from the DHCP server. it doesnt change your public IP.

  8. it's ipconfig /renew  and just hit the enter key....

Note: you will keep the same IP.

you need to do a /release then a /renew to get a different IP.
