  1. It's may be impossible. They're already out there and unless you own the web pages, there may little you can do.

If you posted something in a message board, comment or otherwise placed on a web page that you don't own or is not under your control, plead your case to the webmaster of the site that contains the offending pages. He or she may take pity on you and edit or remove them if their policies allow. Even then, the old pages remain in search engine caches for several months, even years. You might be able to request each search engine to remove them, but since you don't own those pages, they are under no obligation to do so, and rarely will. After all, you voluntarily posted the information.

But, if a web site has posted confidential information WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT, you're in better shape. You still need to contact the owners or administrators. It's their responsibility to remove the information from their site and contact the search providers. If they drag their feet, you may need to contact a lawyer especially if the web site violated it's own privacy policy or if the information could lead to identity theft.

If you are the owner or webmaster of a site, and you want certain of YOUR OWN pages removed from search engine results, you will need to contact each search company and request that the pages be removed.  All of them should have procedures that allow this.
