How to measure for a counter top

Question

i have a L shaped kitchen. do the cabinets have to be the same measurement on both sides. mine are 24 inches from the wall on one side and 24 1/2 inches from the wall on the other side. i am getting the new counter top installed by a installer whom is going to come and measure it beforehand?

the installer will come in and measure and be responsible for the the fit he will also do the cuts for the sink

Since the installer is going to do it, you can ask him. But if you ever wanted to do it yourself, use the existing countertop as a template. Put some roofing paper on it and trace it!
