How to mix and match Skater and preppy styles?

I ride skateboard and ii have a girly beachy style. but im sick of wearing hollister all of the time. and when i try on hurley and volcom brands. it seems "too" tom boyish. i want to support skateboard brands because that is what i do.

is there a way to mix and match preppy and skater styles together to make a cute outfit?
