Question:

How to model a bathroom that has a GREEN bathtub and toilet seat?

I'll soon be moving in with my soon-to-be husband in a little apartment that has one washroom. The problem? The bathtub and the entire toilet is GREEN. Not a nice dark green, but a vibrant ocean green. The flooring is white, black, and beige tiny specks. How can I make this work? What shower curtains could be used? That color of soap dishes? Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks.

  1. Neutral with tropical aspects would be my vote.  I would stick with tans, beiges, cream colors and maybe add some bamboo accents, palm tree pics or you could go retro and use items from the era that the house was built. You could probably find items like these at a local antique store.

  2. You could go with a nice striped curtain/rug/towels in the green, black, tan, or cream or any combination of colors to make the room look a little more formal/classic, add a nice framed picture and a sleek soap dish and fancy candles all

in the same metal tone as your fixtures.

Go with an ocean theme with a translucent (think water) curtain and some fun towels and accessories, add a couple

real seashells in a dish, a fish shaped glass jar with colored bath salts.

Think melon or sherbert ice cream and just choose some

accessories in honeydew, canteloupe, watermelon, lime, orange, or pineapple colors.

  3. You could stay neutral, cream, beige or taupe basically with plain bathmats and towels, then bring in just small touches of the green in accessories.

  4. Tropical..Palm trees and seashells..paint light switches to match and trim. Pineapple soap dishes..or palm trees. Sand colored mats..Hope it helps!!

  5. u should try a dark green shower curtain and you can get some green soap holders to match the tub and toilet. you can also buy some white rugs for the floor....i cant really imagine wut ur washroom looks like so i hope that helped at least a little bit

  6. ish. My wall was tiled in that color in my last apartment. I had white towels with a hunter green stripe. And navy blues worked well with it too. Good luck!
