Hi guys, I just moved to a new place, and this speaker mounting problem has bothered me for days. I have a set of 5.1 speakers for my PC, so I have to mount the two rear speakers on wall as I have no other place to put it. Problem is, the owner doesn't allow me to drill any holes on the wall. It would help me alot if anybody have ideas or experience on how to mount speakers on the wall without drill holes. BTW the speaker I own is logitech Z5500, the satellites weights about 3-5Lbs. I was kind of thinking using a double sided tape, but I guess it won't last long...

PS: As long as it stay on the wall, I don't mind much on how it gonna look.

  1. Gara,

When I leave double sided sticky things on a wall for a month or more they stay one the wall.  How long have you left 3M stuff up and then successfully removed it?

  2. For speakers that are 3 to 5 pounds, I don't think the double sided tape will work for very long.  But it is worth a try.  You would not want your speaker to fall off the wall.  It could damage it or injure someone.

Have you considered speaker stands for the rear speakers?  That would solve your problem with no effect on your walls.  Many people use them and they give you the oppurtunity to move the speakers for better sound.

  3. 3M products have several wall hangers out ( a good hardware store has them ).  They stick to the wall, then when you don't want them on the wall anymore you just pull on a tab on the bottom and they come off the wall without leaving goo or glue on it.

They are a really neat idea.....have used them with much success.
