How to move to the USA?

I currently live in Canada. I want to move to the USA. Ive searched all the available options such as work visas, etc. I have a licence to drive a commercial vehicle, ie.. transport. Does this count as a skill? would this enable me to apply for an H1 Visa? I do not have a degree. What is my best option? My dream is to live in the states, NY is where im destined. I am more Patriotic towards the USA than Canada, that means its time for me to leave. I know about the green card lottey, but my luck aint the greatest. I have money saved to get a place and enough to carry me until I have a job. I would like to work a couple jobs for extra cash. Please.. Let me know my best option.

  1. I am sure if you would have chance to get a job here, you would do a better job than the 2 jackass above me, but laws are stricts here, even if we need skills people , probably the 2 of them do not even have a driving licence, if you take a look how they wrote their answers you can clearly realize that they are uneducated, poor writing too, at this point I really doubt they are Americans.

    Anyway Good Luck to you.

  2. Sorry, being a truck driver is not a skill that is covered by H1B visas.  Without a close relative in the US, I do not think that you would have much chance to emigrate.

  3. Being licensed to drive a commercial vehicle is not a skilled trade so getting a work visa is slim. Also, Canadians don't qualify for the green card lottery so that is not an option either. Your other options are getting a student visa or marrying a US citizen.. and I'm sure marrying a US citizen wouldn't help you at this point because you're trying to move to the US now. You can't just up & move the the US because you're sick of your own country.. if you don't qualify.. you don't move.
