How to music for my vhs tape?

I am making a short movie on my camcorder and then recording it onto a vhs tape. How can add music to the background?

There is really no one step easy way of doing that with a standard VCR and camcorder.  One complicated but possible option is to use a small audio mixer between the camcorder and the VCR.  You could route it as follows...

Connect the audio from the camcorder to the mixer, as well as the audio from the music source (CD player, MP3 player, ect.) to the mixer.  Go from the output of the mixer into your VCR.  From the mixer you can control the volume and mix of both the music and camcorder.  You'd connect the video cable directly from the camcorder to the VCR.

If this is all foreign to you, consult a local music store (Guitar Center, Sam Ash, ect.) for all the gear neccessary, it'll probably run you $80-$100.
