How to mute sections of audio in vegas?

Hi all,

I have made a lot of slideshow presentations in Movie Maker, and other than the fact that it crashes ALL the time I love the program. It's easy to use, I can do everything that I need... perfect, except for the crashing.

Did I say ALL THE TIME!

Yeah, anyone who uses it will know!

So... I am switching to a better program. I have downloaded trial versions of "Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9" and "Adobe Premier" as I'm not sure which one is better for me.

Have started with Vegas, but so far am finding it difficult to work out how to do stuff. There are tutorials but...!

Does anyone know how I can mute audio files from my videos, without muting ALL.

In movie maker it's easy! In Vegas it seems more complicated and I haven't figured it out yet!

  1. On your project, search for the audio track that you want to silence.

    Then just on THAT track, hit the button that I've circled:
