How to not be afraid of the ball? (softball)?

Question

I play shortstop in softball, but sometimes I get a little afraid of the ball? Do you have any suggestions on how to not be afraid? Thank you! :]

what i did in little league was go to the fastest pitching machiene in the batting cages and let 10 balls hit you

Just stay in front of the ball... If it does hit you it will only hurt for a few moments, its all mental.. BE STRONG!!!!!!
