How to not hurt my moms feelings

okay so im what you would call ' scene ' and my mom doesnt really care...but she cares bout the makeup im wanting to wear,So i let her give me a makeover.And it looked just like her makeup like what she wears everyday.And its pretty but not really my style,so how do i tell her that i want to wear my makeup my way without hurting her feelings?

I don't know what "scene" is, but I bet if you tell your mom honestly, it won't hurt her feelings.  You don't have to say you hate it .. just tell her while it is pretty, it is just not what makes you comfortable.  You like it a different way.  Another idea would be to go to a makeover counter -- like Clinique or Lamcome; they do them for free and give you other ideas.  Maybe you and your mom could discover a new look together.  You are lucky to have a mom open to makeup and makeovers.  I hope you always stay close to her.  Do the makeup thing together with a mani/pedi and make it a great mom/daughter day!  You will both cherish it.

I am a mom and moms' generally understand things.    I'm sure she will be okay with it, moms are tough and appreciate style.

Maybe you could find some sort of combination- use some of her style as an influence on yours, without totally losing your look.

Here is what i would do.put her makeup on and ask her "mom do you love me and think im beautiful?" then put your makeup on and say "mom do you still love me and think im beautiful?" then she'll realize you are the same with or without her style. just tell her, mom this is me.
