Assuming the sand contains NaCl, I would suggest a simple water wash. Any salt will disolve into the water, leaving the particulates behind. The water can then be distilled in any number of ways to obtain the salt. Of course, if other salts or soluble matter are present in the sand, they will end up in the distilled precipitate as well.
