How to obtain railway refund without ticket deposit receipt (TDR)? Due to some reason, my brother could not ob

Here is the lr. from my brother to Sr. DCM

Sub: Refund for ticket with PNR no. 445-1185082 (enclosed).

I had booked a wait-listed ticket for Chennai to Tiruverumbur, on 24/11/2006, by 6177 Rockfort Express. When I checked through SMS, around 20:00 hours on 24/11/2006 at Kokata, the ticket was not confirmed and was at WL 1, with the chart prepared.

The flight IC-0765 of Indian from Kolkata to Chennai got delayed by two hours and I could arrive at Chennai only at around 22:30 PM on 24/11/2006 (A copy of the flight boarding pass is enclosed herewith). I could not go to Egmore, for cancellation of the ticket, at this time of the night and traveled back to Tirhcirappalli from the airport itself, by road.

I presented the ticket for cancellation at BHEL reservation counter on its opening at 08:00 AM on 25/11/2006. The female counter clerk refused to refund the ticket money stating the refund in such cases is not permitted at the reservation counter and hence I am writ

you have to submit the orginal ticket for refund requesting  the above and send to trichy you will get you refund surely if you do not have tdr . they will see wether the said person has travelled on that particular day . i got refund after 30 days but you have to submit to the concern authority at trichy only. i do not have address now for refund authority at trichy check at railway station or  sourthern railway website .
