I seriously know how it feels to get bored in an airplaine. Try a 16 hour flight from the US to Guam (that's where I'm from). I sleep as much as I can, it really passes the time.

Read books, watch a movie, listen to an mp3 player/cd player/walkman, write poems, catch up on any overdue assignments, talk to the person(s) next to you, look out the window, chew gum, eat food, sleep, take pictures of the sky, entertain the children that would otherwise drive everyone else crazy, conduct a large game of heads up 7 up, or sing.
