Well, simple you need a bittorent client, a peice of software that knows what a .torrent file is..........

there are so many these days, but ABC(anther bitorrent client), utorrent, azureus are but to name a few.........download and install one, when you download a bittorrent file, you need to associate the file type with the client you downloaded........

to do that you need to locate the .torrent file, right click and choose propeties, then click open with and select your client, chances are this will be done automatically when you install the client.......

when you open a torrent file, it attempts to open the default torrent program you have installed on your computer. if you dont have a torrent program installed, it wont do anything

You can use uTorrent from www.utorrent.com, it is the lightest and simplest program at all.

To open it, you can either open it from the program by clicking on File->Add torrent then go to the place where you saved the torrent, or you can your browser open the file with utorrent and then the program will automatically open it and begin the download.
